AUSTRALIAN BIRDS - Barn
Owl
www.ozcity.faithweb.com
This subspecies of Barn Owl lives alone or in pairs throughout
the open wooded country and grassy plains. They roost quietly by
day, hidden in leafy trees, tree hollows, caves and rock crevices.
At night they feed on mice, other small rodents and night-flying
insects. Mice plagues cause Barn Owl numbers to rise and fall
dramatically.
