Peregrine Falcon

The Peregrine Falcon is found all over Australia, with the
exception of the Australian tropical forests. They prefer semi-wooded areas and grasslands.
Peregrine Falcon's can be found in other parts of the world,
although they have not been found in the Antarctic and New Zealand.
When searching for food, the Peregrine Falcon mainly hunts small
to medium birds. To do this they fly above their prey, then dive downwards
at speeds of up to 280 km per hour.
The female Peregrine Falcons make their nests on cliff faces, in
hollow trees, and they even have been know to build their nests on
the edge of a city building.
They female lays
one to three eggs, and both parents incubate the eggs
and raise the chicks.
